Sunday, November 6

rockin' weekend.

     So this weekend just so happened to be one of the best weekends of the year, thus far.  (At least, I thought it was.) Friday, I went to a Brandon Heath/Britt Nicole concert with my bud, Jenna and her bud, Mac.  Together we were a completely amazing trio of buds that could not be stopped.
Yay for being unstoppable!

This is us.  Don't we look happy?
Jenna, Mac, and Emily looking oh-so-lovely

I was trying very hard to look pretty.  :D

Oh yeah, the music was pretty great, too.  Brandon Heath was SO funny at this concert.  He  interacted with the audience a lot, too.  He invited a few young girls on to the stage with him, and he held up their "I listen to Brandon Heath" sign.
New favorite performer?  I think yes.

 This is what we looked like for the entire concert.
I feel almost like a Smurf.

~~~
That night I spent the night over at Jenna's house and we stayed up late (1 o'clock!  We haven't done that since we were 10!)  watching the epicness that I like to call, "Psych."  We also talked a bit, and yawned a bit; then after waking up the next morning, we played Need for Speed and some neat-o skiing/snowboarding game on the Gamecube.
We teenagers are quite the life of the party, let me tell ya.
For quite a while, my best friend, Andrew, and I have been planning on going to the fair.
Why, you ask?  Because the fair is amazing and we like the thrill of riding old, rusty rides that could break at any moment.
That's why.
So we decided on a day, which was yesterday (November 5th).  November 5th is also his birthday, so it was a pretty exciting day for him.  (Getting to see me, and all :D.  Wow, I sure am humble.)  We had a fantastic time and took a grand total of 4 pictures.  Oh yeah, you could say we got a little camera-happy.  *insert sarcasm*
Andrew and me about to ride "Cliff Hanger."  This was probably one of the most uncomfortable rides at the far.  We were lying on a metal bench - thing and flying around in a circle.  Let me tell ya; metal tables are NOT kind to ladies like me whose boney hips jut out  far.  Ouch.
Boy, I sure was tempted to get some of this.  *gag*
We rode lots of rides, and screamed a lot, and laughed a lot, and shivered, and yelled at random people, and waved at random people, and ate ice cream (despite it being 50-ish degrees), and browsed the shopping, and laughed about the carnies, and ate a delicious cinnamon roll, and over-analyzed the safety of rides, and said lots of things that don't make sense, and enjoyed ourselves lots. Overall, I think it was a pretty enjoyable day.
Saturday, September 17
so i thought i'd post some pictures
 So I found this snazzy lei in my parents' closet.  I had to put it on and whip out the camera.  This is the happiest I think I've ever looked in a picture, before.  I was jumping all around the house this morning.  Like, literally jumping around and dancing and hopping and singing.  (Plus some crashing into things.)
 Went shopping with Mom, and thought I'd take a picture.  Voila.
 I took this picture a few weeks ago and edited it (obviously).  I think that it turned out like, super-duper cool.  I LERV IT.
So I've been wanting to use Picnik's
"Poster" effect, but every time I
tried it, it just didn't turn out looking
very cool.  But much to my excitement,
this picture looks GREAT as a poster.
Thank you, brand new BRIGHT PINK
lip gloss.
The original version of this picture.   LOVE the colors!!!  :D
And then I edited this one to only have my
lovely pink-ness showing.  This looked a lot
better in my head, unfortunately.
So, I haven't been hanging around in the blogging world enough lately, I know.  You may start throwing trash at me, I deserve it.  But since I've started public school again (GASP!), I just haven't had the time.  It's so sad, I know.  But I'm getting by.  :]
vampiress
That's me, baby.
With Picnik's lovely "Halloween" effects, I was able to turn myself into a vampire.  Or vampiress.  I think that's a word (but what do I know).
So check 'er out.  Looks pretty creepy, no?
I think that highlighting my hair black made a big difference.
Even though it's really weird seeing myself like this, I'm pretty satisfied with the result.  It's not really "professional" looking, or anything... but still pretty cool, if I do say so myself.  :P
"The secret side of me, I never let you see
 I keep it caged but I can't control it
So stay away from me, the beast is ugly
I feel the rage and I just can't hold it
It's scratching on the walls, in the closet, in the halls
It comes awake and I can't control it
Hiding under the bed, in my body, in my head
Why won't somebody come and save me from this, make it end?
I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun
I must confess that I feel like a monster"  (Monster, Skillet)
